Teardrop Camper Awning
I love the adventures I am having in my teardrop trailer, Mary Beth. I have attended 3 gatherings so far this year, and each time I walk away with another idea of things to change or add to my campsite.
At the Wolf Creek Spring Rally of the Texas Vintage Trailer club, I left with the idea of adding a canopy to my teardrop. I am really pleased with the results of my efforts.
This campout was with the TNTTT.com group at Beavers Bend State Park in Broken Bow, OK.
I will create a tutorial with my next awning.

Hallway Makeover Progress
I love the board and batten treatment in my bedroom so much, that I decided to incorporate it in the hallway and both bathrooms.
So I began by prepping my surfaces to protect the floor, and to tape off for the area I am painting,
I also removed all of the switch plates and electric plug covers.
Next I painted the walls with white semi gloss paint, the same color as my trim paint. This required 2 coats for good coverage.
It already looks lighter in the hallway.
Next I went to Home Depot and purchased 1/2" MDF for my trim. I had boards cut to 6"for the upper boards, and the upright boards are 2" x 48" with a 45 degree angle cut on the bottom. After a light sanding to clean the edges, I primed each board with a flat white paint. And now the fun begins. I attached the upright boards to the wall with liquid nails and my handy dandy, cordless Ryobi nail gun.
The uprights are spaced 17" apart.
More later... stay tuned for the great reveal.
